Mickey Mouse Fondant Cake

MICKEY MOUSE FONDANT CAKE
I was so excited when I got this order request as this special birthday cakes was meant for a twins (my sis' colleague). The 2 cakes were a last-min order and I had another 3 orders to fulfil in that 3 days! On top of that, she also ordered another 30 decorated cookies to share with the lovely twins' friends!
She requested to have 2 different cake designs which must be suitable for both boy and girl.
So I planned to have the mickey & minnie and peppa pig.
Mickey Mouse cookies
Here's the matching cookies with fondant. Normally I like to use royal icing. This was my first try using fondant which turned out so good! Dried fondant adds crispiness to the cookies! And I need not wait for the base layer to dry before adding other deco!
Tips: roll the fondant thinner for better taste.
I packed these cookies at 3am. Little Jayden woke up, walked out into the living room, stood beside the table and watched me packing the cookies with his sleepy face. He then pulled my hand to go back to sleep with him. It was such a lovely scene which I could never forget.
Mission Accomplished!
